Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Yestor uses, what may be synced when you choose to sign in, and what choices you have.
1. Overview
Yestor is a daily year-guessing game for iOS and web. You can play as a guest without creating an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, Yestor can sync your progress across devices and reinstalls.
2. Information stored locally
Yestor stores game data locally on your device or browser so the app can remember your progress and preferences. This may include:
- completed moments, guesses, scores, and collection history
- stats such as streaks, total points, exact guesses, and play history
- credit balance, cosmetic purchase history, selected avatar, selected title, and profile color
- unlock dates, selected app icon, theme, reminder, and settings choices
- a locally generated player identifier and leaderboard display name
- cached daily moment content, image references, and source links
- a locally stored sign-in session if you use account sync
3. Account sync
Account sync is optional. When you sign in with Apple or Google, Yestor uses Supabase Auth to authenticate your account and keep your progress available across iOS, web, and reinstalls.
Synced account data can include your provider user ID, sign-in email address if Apple or Google provides one, completed moments, guesses, scores, stats, credit and cosmetic purchase data, selected avatar, selected title, profile color, unlock dates, selected app icon, leaderboard player identifier, and leaderboard display name.
4. Leaderboards
If you use Yestor's shared leaderboards, your leaderboard profile and results may be stored in Supabase and shown to other players. Visible leaderboard information can include your display name, selected avatar, selected title, profile color, rank, points, streaks, exact guesses, and other score-related totals.
You can keep the auto-generated leaderboard name, change your leaderboard name, or choose not to use account sync.
5. Content and third-party services
Yestor connects to a small number of services to run the game:
- Supabase: powers account sync, authentication, synced progress, and shared leaderboard records.
- Apple and Google: provide optional sign-in. The provider you choose handles its own authentication flow and privacy practices.
- Google Sheets: provides a public CSV feed used for daily moment content.
- Apple Game Center: on iOS, Yestor may submit supported stats such as total points or longest streak when Game Center is available.
- External image and source URLs: moment photos and source links may load from external sites listed in the editorial feed.
- System sharing: if you share a result, your device or browser passes the share text and link to the destination you choose.
6. Support emails and moment requests
If you send feedback, report a bug, ask a privacy question, or request a future moment, your email client sends whatever you include to yestor.app@outlook.com. That information is also handled by your email provider and the mailbox provider used to receive the message.
7. What Yestor does not do
- Yestor does not require an account or password to play.
- Yestor does not sell personal information.
- Yestor does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- Yestor does not use third-party analytics SDKs for cross-app or cross-site tracking.
8. Data retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device or browser until it is cleared, reset, or removed when the app is uninstalled or browser storage is deleted. Synced account and leaderboard data may remain in the backend until it is updated or removed.
The iOS app includes an account deletion option that removes the synced Yestor account records controlled by Yestor, associated shared leaderboard profile data, and local progress on that device. If you need help with synced account data, contact yestor.app@outlook.com.
9. Your choices
- You may play as a guest without signing in.
- You may sign in with Apple or Google to sync progress, stats, collection history, credits, profile customization, unlocks, app icon choices, and leaderboard identity.
- You may sign out later from the Account area.
- You may change your leaderboard display name from Settings.
- You may choose your avatar, title, and profile color from Profile.
- You may choose whether to share a result and where to send it.
- You may choose not to send support emails or moment requests.
